Slate Roof Repair

Winter freeze and thaw cycles can be very hard on slate roofs. You may find pieces of slate on the ground or sticking in your gutter as you go out and about for spring maintenance. Slate repair is best completed as soon as an issue is noticed. Early intervention saves money and helps preserve the roof for many years to come. Ask your roofer how they repair slate. What tools do they use? Do they know what a slate rake is? Do they know not to nail through the face of the slate tiles?
